EDUCATION:
Speaker Wase, attended Rita Elementary School in 1968 and spent two years at Mizpha High School of Micronesia in Truk as freshma and Sophomore. He attended one year at MIHS (Junior) and graduated from the Mid-Pacific Institute in Honolulu. He attended University of Hawaii at Hilo and obtain Bachelor of Business Administration in 1977.
 
EMPLOYMENT/POLITICS:
Speaker Wase became a classroom teacher in business for Senior and junior classes at the Marshall Islands High School in 1978. He was elected to the Nitijela in 1984 and was allocated Ministerial Portfolio of Minister of Social Affairs from 1984 to 1987. In 1987 he was allocated Ministerial Portfolio of Minister of Resources and Development from 1987 to 1991. In 2004 he was allocated Ministerial Portfolio of Finance from 2004 to 2008, later from 2016 to 2020 he was appointed to Ministerial Portfolio of Finance, and later holding the portfolio from 2021 to 2023. In 2024 elected as the Speaker of the Nitijela.

Speaker Wase enjoys meeting new people, working young and fresh minds, fishing, traveling, and playing any sports
